Our Leaders

Mary Kay has attended New Hope all her life, and has been a baptized believer since the age of 10. She has two grown sons and four grandchildren.  She's lived in Mine Run her whole life, except for a brief period, early in her marriage, when she and late husband Alan lived in Ohio.  Mary Kay is currently serving New Hope as a deacon, a Sunday School Teacher (something she has done for over 25 years), and a member of the Cemetary and Grounds Trustees.   In her spare time, she enjoys reading, crafts, and flower gardening.  Her favorite time of the year is Spring, being outside and enjoying all of God's wonderful creation. She says, "I love seeing all of the dormant plants and trees coming back to life, as we should also have a new life through Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior."

 

Nancy has been a fixture at New Hope since her late husband, Rev. Dr. Wilson Corr Jr., arrived in 1981 to assume the role of pastor.  Nancy originally attended Bethany Baptist Church in Spotsylvania County.  She was raised in the church from a very young age and accepted Christ at the age of 8 in Vacation Bible School.   In addition to her leadership of Sunday School and VBS, Nancy serves as editor of the church bulletin and as a member of the Nominating Committee.  She has three children and three granddaughters.  In her spare time, she enjoys socializing with friends, reading, and spending time with her grandchildren.
