International Missions

In 2015, New Hope was led to sponsor a Hope House through
We are blessed to be able to say our third Hope House has just been completed!

The South East Asian Orphan Foundation, or SEAOF, was founded in 1996 by Brother Mike Roberts, a veteran of the Vietnam War, for the purpose of caring for the physical needs of orphans in Vietnam, with the ultimate goal of reaching them with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

In Vietnam, there are virtually no government-sponsored welfare programs in place to help with these orphaned children who are often left to fend for themselves.  They live and sleep on the streets of the cities, are subject to near starvation and are abused by opportunists who exploit them for profit.  The initial location of this project is the Mekong Delta basin, whose inhabitants are the "poorest of the poor".

The program does not involve an institutional type orphanage, but rather employs a method in which the next of kin, if possible, will care for the children within a single family home called a "Hope House."  Once the family has met all the necessary requirements, a basic house is constructed (about 350 sq. ft).  The family will also be provided clothing, supplies and school books, toiletries, daily food and health care.  Older children are sent to vocational school to learn a trade in order to support themselves and their family.

Operation Christmas Child

Another international prgram that we support is Operation Christmas Child through Samaritan's Purse which is based in Boone, NC.  Each November, we fill shoeboxes for poverty stricken children all around the world. Simple items such as a toothbrush, washcloth, school supplies and one small toy can make a child's day.  In 2017, we were able to provide over 60 shoeboxes.  For more information on Samaritan's Purse, click HERE
