Tender Warriors
The Tender Warriors is a fellowship of dedicated Christian men engaged in the glorification of God through prayer and humble service to church and community. The group had its first official meeting June 4th, 2011
at a breakfast attended by more than 20 gentlemen. The group has been organized into four teams.
The name "Tender Warrior" is borrowed from a book of the same title by Stu Weber. Pastor Weber clarifies God's expectation of us as men. We are simultaneously called to be strong leaders and tender-hearted. This may seem at first to be a bit paradoxical, but we maintain that (1) real men put their trust in God, and (2) when we expose our love in a spirit of humility, it is the ultimate demonstration of strength.
Since its founding, the Tender Warriors have enjoyed two outdoor retreats, assumed responsibility for lawn care around the church and cemetary, and performed a number of service projects.
